ROBERT CARY TURNER, FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Robert Cary Turner is the Founder and President of Turner Painting Service Inc. and Robert Turner Builders, LLC. Established in 1975, Turner Painting Service, Inc. has proudly served clients throughout Connecticut and Westchester County for over 50 years. Mr. Turner is a master builder and expert in fine painting, finishes, and design, recognized for his hands-on craftsmanship, high quality standards, and mastery of architectural finishes, heritage restoration, and high-end residential construction. He has been involved in the real estate, construction, custom home building, design, and contracting sectors for nearly five decades. A native of Connecticut, Mr. Turner also grew up in Switzerland and learned about world architecture and design, which has been an instrumental influence on the work that the companies perform for their valued clientele. Mr. Turner has experience in professional consulting, insurance claim, and expert witness services for homeowners, builders, and insurers seeking specialized construction and restoration expertise. Mr. Turner’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and House & Garden, along with a number of other regional and specialty publications, with a focus on exterior and interior finishes, architectural detailing, and historical preservation.
Turner Painting Service, Inc. is fully licensed and certified in both Connecticut (HIC.06520581) and Westchester County, New York (WC-33597-H21), and is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm (NAT-112766-2). The company is a Preferred PRO Applicator with Romabio and is trained in the application of Fine Paints of Europe, as well as a wide range of specialty wallcoverings and wallpapers. Robert Turner Builders, LLC (NHC.0016150) is an Andersen Certified Contractor providing custom homes, renovations, additions, new construction, historical preservation, and general contracting services. Both firms are known for their expert construction techniques and professional standards, approaching every project, large or small, with the same level of care, precision, and pride in craftsmanship. From pre-construction planning and permitting through project execution and final completion, the Turner companies deliver results built on integrity, technical expertise, and five decades of trusted experience.
Mr. Turner has been a member of numerous international and local organizations, including: The Home Builders & Remodelers Association (“HBRA”) of Fairfield County, The International Remodeling Contractors Association, Vice President of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America among others. Mr. Turner has certifications and training in OSHA for the Construction Industry Level, Lead Safety for Renovation Repair and Painting, Wolman Wood Care Products Contractor, Warrington, Inc., Certificate of Achievement for Lead Testing, scaffolding and more. He continues to serve as Senior Project Manager and Estimator, overseeing safety management, project delivery, and company direction. Mr. Turner has received numerous awards and recognition for his work, including as a Winner of Connecticut Home Builders Association HOBI Award (2007) for Best Green House and as an Honored Professional in the Nationwide Register’s Who’s Who In Executives and Businesses (2008). Prior to founding the Turner family of companies, Mr. Turner was a Director at UCLA.
Mr. Turner received his education from the University of Connecticut.
